SELSTS SEMINARS

Below is the list of seminars/clinics that will be held at the 2008 SELSTS in Perry, Georgia. Each of them will be held in the same building as the show. They will be held in the Seminar Rooms in the FRONT OF THE BUILDING. This room will hold over 100 people at one time. So there will be plenty of room for you to attend.

Lewis Polk 2 hour seminar on “How Trains are Made” Footage from the factory on the process of making Large Scale Trains. (BOTH DAYS)

Scott Polk 1 hour seminar on “Aristo Craft Live Steam” Talk will center around the TWO Aristo Live Steamer. (This will be held on Saturday ONLY)

Jerry Chapman of Split Jaw Products, Inc. 1 hour talk on “Keep Those Trains Running.” This seminar will cover how to build a well running, reliable railroad using Split Jaw Products. This talk is “geared to new people getting into the hobby and it will cover power supply selection, wiring, road bed preparation, track selection, and much more.” (BOTH DAYS)

Elaine Haggenbottom 1 hour seminar on “SIGNS – 101” This seminar will cover “all the different ways Elaine has discovered for making one’s own signs for G Buildings, including paper, vinyl stick-ons, laminating for protection, bood burned, wood based, plastic based, coroplast-based, created from molds (with several ideas), and finishing ideas for the 3-dimensional ones that have been created by Precision Products. This will also include some custom painting concepts. Blank signs will be handed out, as well as some cloth RR insignias for your own decorating.”

QSI Solutions 1 hour seminar on “Quantum G Scale Sound Options” (BOTH DAYS)

Marty Cozad Of North Table Creek Garden Railroad Nebraska City, Nebraska will present tow clinics/seminars one on Friday and one on Saturday

Clinic #1 Railfanning in your own back yard. talk about creating and looking for realistic photos of your own railroad

Clinic #2 Tips and tricks for your railroad Many time saving creative things you can do on your railroad

Lawrence "YOGI" Wallace will be returning to present his ongoing seminar/clinic on making things for your Garden Railroad out of stuff people throw away. I will be showing the usual things but stressing the use of
construction Foam, pink and blue. Pink for the girls and Blue for the
boys. Yogi will be located in the show room floor in the front of the hall. He asked that you be sure to stop by and introduce yourself to him and Loius

No times are listed with these seminars/clincis because I have a couple more considering doing a clinic/seminar. As soon as I get a final yes from them, I will post their names and topics then go back and add the days and times. A few of the clinics above will be ONLY HELD ON ONE DAY. So make sure if it is a clinic you want to attend, make sure you take note of which day it will be held on.
